This lemon sugar hand scrub recipe is just the thing I need now that spring has arrived. This weekend I spent a bit of time outside weeding the garden beds and getting my patio pots ready for planting. The ground was a bit cold and damp but in a few weeks I will be putting in herbs, flowers and some easy to grow vegetables. By the time I was done with my gardening, my hands were covered in mud and I my nails would never be the same. I spent 10 minutes scrubbing my hands with hot, soapy water and still couldn't get that ground in dirt off my hands. I decided that what I really needed was a nice homemade hand scrub to tackle that garden dirt. I made up this lemon sugar hand scrub recipe in just a few minutes and will be using it frequently during gardening season.
Homemade sugar scrubs are a great way to exfoliate the skin. I chose lemon because of it's awesome cleaning power and of course, coconut oil helps soften the skin. Did you know that there are many health benefits of green tea for your skin? Green tea has anti-aging and antioxidant benefits that can help delay certain signs of skin aging. Sagging skin, sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles all benefit from a little green tea! Here is an affiliate link for some loose leaf green tea that I like to use. Teabags will work well, too, if you have some of those. 1 or 2 teabags is probably plenty.
