How many calories are in a lemon drop martini?  Probably way too many considering how good they taste!  If you want to find a low-calorie martini to enjoy, you need to find light vodka with fewer calories to add to it.  This low-calorie lemon drop martini recipe uses Voli light vodka.  All the flavor and not as many calories!

Are vodka martinis really an actual martini?  My husband swears that they shouldn’t really be called martinis since they don’t have any gin in them but they are tasty, no matter what you call them I recently received a bottle of Voli light vodka to try, along with a couple of single serving bottles of their flavored vodkas. Here is a Low-Calorie Lemon Drop Martini Recipe that is perfect for the upcoming warm weather!

About Voli Light Vodka:

Voli light vodkas are approximately 25% to 40% lower in calories than other leading brands. They are delicious fruit and fusion flavored vodkas made from natural ingredients like French wheat,  pure spring water, and natural flavors.

Voli is available in original Lyte, lemon, orange vanilla, pear vanilla, raspberry, cocoa, and espresso vanilla.  You can enjoy it in your favorite cocktail or enjoy it straight up.

My opinion:

I decided to try the Voli lemon vodka straight up before putting it into the lemon drop martini.  I don’t drink a lot of straight-up vodkas so it was quite strong but also has a nice flavor to it from the lemon.

It isn’t a sweet flavor, just a nice refreshing lemon.  I have used the original Lyte version in a few drinks as well and it is nice to know I am adding fewer calories to my diet with this vodka!

Bathing suit season is almost here so I am trying to cut calories wherever I can (and low-calorie cocktail recipes are just as delicious!)

  1. Want. One. Now! I have two kids under two in the house today so I think I’m gonna tell the hubby to stop on the way home and pick up the ingredients! This looks like just what I’ll need by 7 PM!

  3. I’ve never been much of a Martini person but I think it’s always the gin that ruins it for me lol The flavored vodka sounds like it would be much better and I think I will have to try it out this weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I’ve never been a martini person either. I had one in Mexico last summer and switched back to my regular drink after one sip. However, the flavored vodka is good in lots of other stuff. ๐Ÿ™‚
