The holidays always get a little hectic around here, like I'm sure they do for just about everyone.  I love to cook but sometimes I just don't have a lot of spare time to create complicated recipes.  If I have company over or need to have a 4 course meal on the table for Thanksgiving, I look for an easy appetizer recipe that will impress guests but not take a lot of time to make. Holidays mean different things to different people.  Everyone has a tradition or two that makes the holidays memorable.  For us, our most memorable Thanksgivings are always those that include my husband's roommate from college.  We spend every other year together and my kids love 'Uncle Mark' and the time he spends visiting.  We climb Stone Mountain, watch goofy holiday cartoons, drink eggnog and generally just relax and have fun.  And EAT...we do love to eat!

Mark's parents usually send us a care package for the holidays and often it is a big box of high quality cheddar cheese.  It makes it's way into appetizers, desserts, and whatever else I can think to add it to. It goes great in mashed potatoes.  Honest! This easy appetizer recipe is quick to put together, uses some deliciously sharp cheddar cheese and will be a big hit at your holiday get together.  With the help of Target, you can have the kind of holiday you want without breaking the bank!  Their selection of serving dishes, cheese cutting boards, bowls and other accessories will go a long way towards a festive holiday meal!
