Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffle Recipe

This chocolate chip cookie dough truffle recipe is a quick and easy homemade gift idea or a delicious dessert for any night of the week.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • chocolate bark, to melt for dipping
  • sprinkles, chopped nuts, etc (optional for topping the truffles)


  1. Combine the butter, brown sugar, vanilla, flour and sweetened condensed milk in a mixer bowl
  2. Mix until smooth and completely combined
  3. Stir in mini chocolate chips
  4. Chill dough 1 to 2 hours
  5. Using a teaspoon or miniature (1 inch) ice cream scoop, scoop out small amounts onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper
  6. Roll each dough ball between your hands until it forms a smooth, 1 inch or so ball
  7. Melt your chocolate wafers in a double boiler
  8. Dip each dough ball into the melted chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off. Turn back onto a sheet of wax paper
  9. If desired, add sprinkles or chopped nuts to the top for decoration
  10. Let harden
  11. Store at room temperature for up to 1 to 2 weeks
