Many years ago, my husband and I started a very tasty New Year’s Day tradition. ย We make tons of easy appetizer recipes all day to nibble on while we enjoy the first day of the new year. We sip mimosas, eat appetizers and enjoy a slow start to a very busy new year. ย I am always looking for easy appetizer recipes to make so when I got the chance to work with Kraft to share some savory mini cheese ball recipes I knew it was right up my alley!

Mini Cheese Ball Recipes Make an Easy Appetizer Recipe

I am a huge fan of cheese in all it’s many forms. ย I almost always have cream cheese in the house because it ads a delicious creaminess to so many casseroles. ย Especially my homemade macaroni and cheese! ย For this easy cheese ball recipe, you will need one brick of ย Philidelphia cream cheese for every six mini cheese balls you want to make. ย Before you try making these savory mini cheese ball recipes, grab the Philidelphia cream cheese coupon below before you shop to save $1.00 on two bricks!

You can customize these savory mini cheese ball recipes to your own personal tastes but personally, I loved the combinations of flavors I found on the Kraft webiste! ย Fresh herbs, toasted sesame seeds, fresh garlic, dried fruits, and chopped nuts are all delicious additions to these savory mini cheese ball recipes! Fresh herbs are easy enough to grow on your patio or even on your kitchen windowsill. ย If you can’t grow your own, most grocery stores sell fresh herbs so you can still make this easy cheeseball recipe without a problem. Use a sharp knife or mini food processor to finely chop all of your cheese ball ingredients.

You are going to want your cream cheese to be fairly cold when you make your own mini cheese ball recipes. ย Once the cream cheese brick is cut into 6 pieces, you want to roll each piece in between the palms of your hands until they form a smooth, round, ball. Try not to handle them too much or the cream cheese will get a bit warm and sticky. ย Just cut, form into a ball, roll in your assorted herbs, nuts, seeds, etc. and place on a serving platter for your guests. ย You can chill them for an hour or so if you won’t be serving yourself or your guests immediately.

Once you have your mini cheese ball recipes finished and on a pretty tray, add a few extras! ย Crackers, celery, or pretzels are a great addition to your party appetizer tray. Each person can place a cheese ball on their plate with assorted crackers and snacks. ย That way, there isn’t a bottleneck at the cheeseball table!

These delicious cheese balls are one of the featured recipes on the Walmart Kraft recipe page. Head over and check out the other awesome recipes and even vote for your favorite! I loved this easy cheese ball recipe because it only took 20 minutes to make and it looks incredibly festive!
