A summer dessert your kids can make!
This summer I put each of my children in charge of making dinner one day a week. I am hoping it helps them prepare for life after they move out. My daughter loves to be in the kitchen with me so I was surprised when she showed zero interest in my dinner project.
When asked about her lack of enthusiasm, she asked “Can’t I just make the dessert?” I have apparently passed on my love of baking and sweets to my daughter! This simple summer dessert is one that your kids can make (with a little help from you if they are small) and you can customize the fruit on top to whichever are family favorites in your house.

How to make this berry fruit tart
The crust to this fruit tart is really just a simple sugar cookie recipe, pressed into a tart pan and baked until golden brown. If you double the recipe you can press it into a pizza pan and have enough for a crowd.

I used Vanilla Greek Yogurt and tons of fresh fruit. If you want a slightly sweeter yogurt, you can mix in some honey. Get a red, white and blue affect for your next patriotic party with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. (yes, they are technically yellow. be flexible)
