My kids have been out of school for 2 weeks now and the summer stretches endlessly in front of us. Hours upon hours to spend doing creative and educational things…except the only thing they do is complain that they are bored! This morning, after watching my son wander aimlessly from room to room with a blank look on his face I suggested he go outside and play. He looked at me like I had lost my mind and told me it was HOT outside. Which, seeing as I live in the middle of the deep south, he is 100% correct about! And (unfortunately) things are only going to get hotter! One of our favorite ways to beat the heat is to head to the movies and with all the rave reviews I am seeing, Man of Steel may be the best summer movie to see with your teen son.
When my son was small, we had tons of plastic superhero figurines and dress up outfits. He may have outgrown the toys and cool capes but I don’t think any boy ever grows out of his love for superheros. Superpowers like the ability to fly, incredible strength….what’s not to love? And spending a hot afternoon at the theater with your son as you fight for your share of the popcorn is not an experience you will get to enjoy for many more years! My ‘little boy’ is now 13 and 6 feet tall! I am going to grab every moment we can spend together and cherish it!
Man of Steel Ticket’s at Walmart!
If you want to see Man of Steel before it hits theaters for the general public, you are in luck! You can buy Man of Steel tickets at Walmart and see the movie before it debuts nationwide. Tickets can be purchased at any Walmart store. Just head over to the Electronics Department. With the purchase of your ticket at Walmart, you also get an exclusive digital comic book written by David S. Goyer, the author of Man of Steel. You will also be given an exclusive opportunity to pre-order an HD digital download or Blu-Ray copy of the film. All before ANYONE else gets the chance to see it! The Man of Steel pre screening will be shown at specified theaters on June 13th at 7 PM. This makes it a perfect family event for Father’s Day or to kick off the summer with your kids.
There is no reason to stop with just one movie, either! Over the years there have been many versions of the Superman movie released and a brief search of Amazon shows dozens of options you can enjoy with your kids all summer. In fact, there are not only DVD’s but also costumes, boxer shorts, figurines, movies…the array of Superman stuff is pretty amazing.
Getting the chance to see Man of Steel before everyone else is a great opportunity and having the tickets available at Walmart makes it very convenient to purchase them since we go by Walmart on a regular basis.
