I was provided one copy of the Ripley's Believe It or Not book at no charge in order to facilitate my review but all opinions expressed are my own.
When I was growing up, I was a huge fan of the Ripley's Believe It or Not TV show. I have always been a bit of a science geek and weirdly fascinated by the oddities portrayed on the show. A few years ago we visited the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum and the entire family had an incredibly good time. I have had the chance to review a few of the Ripley's Believe It or Not books over the last several years and every single one of them has managed to capture our attention for an incredibly long time. There is just so much information within these pages that there is no way you can read it all in one sitting. Ripley's Believe It or Not Dare to Look is the latest in the Ripley's series and it is just as amazing as all the others I have read.

My Review:
It is important to note that while this Ripley's Believe It or Not book is made BETTER with the free app, you certainly don't need to have the app in order to enjoy the book. The picture based table of contents makes the book easy to navigate, even for young kids who may not be reading yet. It is easy to see which sections should be scanned with your phone...just look for the Odd Scan logo. Open up the free Ripley's Believe It or Not app on your phone and download the book data...this takes only a few seconds. Then, just scan the pages that have the Odd Scan logo and watch the information come to life in video!
Ripley's Believe It or Not Dare To Look has sections for just about every oddity you can image. There are sections for food, animals, body art, art, transportation, medical oddities (my personal favorite) and so many more. If you are looking for a book to keep your kid busy for a while, this one is definitely it! We had a blast looking through the most recent addition to the Ripley's series and hope there are many more to come!
