I absolutely love greek yogurt and can honestly say that it is a staple in my kitchen that I try hard to never run out of. I use it in dips, smoothies, main dishes and eat it straight out of the container. Greek yogurt is incredibly healthy and a great way to keep your digestive tract happy since it is loaded with probiotics. When I was asked to review The Greek Yogurt Cookbook I knew it would be a perfect fit in my kitchen.

Greek yogurt is being touted as "the next superfood" and for good reason--it's delicious, low in fat, and has about 18 grams of protein per serving! Like many who swear by it, you may consider it your morning staple, but The Greek Yogurt Cookbook expands the food beyond the quick breakfast or snack with 125 delicious Greek yogurt recipes for any time of day. From tantalizing marinades, sauces, and dressings to hearty entrees bursting with flavor, you will delight in the rich taste, creamy texture, and endless health benefits that Greek yogurt brings to every dish.
My Review:
The Greek Yogurt Cookbook has over 125 delicious recipes that use Greek yogurt as a healthy substitute to create a delicious dish. Chapters are divided into everything from simple smoothies and breakfast recipes to healthy dips and appetizers and even a nice selection of main dishes and desserts. The recipes range from things as simple as classic Ranch dressing to slightly more complicated ethnic dishes. There is a nice selection of color pictures which I always like to see in my cookbooks. There are a few gluten free recipes in this Greek yogurt cookbook in addition to recipes that you would never suspect are as healthy as they really are. If you are looking to transform your diet with very little work, the addition of Greek yogurt is a great way to do it (and reusing yogurt cups is a frugal upcycling idea!).
