Palmolive Fresh Sponge: A Solution for Stinky Sponge Syndrome!

Palmolive Fresh Sponge: A Solution for Stinky Sponge Syndrome!

Washing dishes is not exactly my favorite chore but since I can’t afford a maid, I guess I have no choice but to do it anyhow.  I am slightly anal retentive when it comes to keeping my kitchen towels, dish rags and sponges clean and I HATE it when they start to get that slightly musty smell to them!  Palmolive recently came out with a new product called Palmolive Fresh Sponge which is designed to eliminate this problem.  I was sent a sample to try out and have been using it for the last week or so.  The Palmolive Fresh Sponge formula is designed to rinse away odor causing residues in your sponge while at the same time cleaning your dishes to a sparkly shine.  It is also designed to be tough on grease but not too harsh on your skin.  With the amount of time my hands spend washing dishes, this is helpful!  It also helps fight bacterial growth and has a nice, fresh scent.

So, how did it work?  So far, I can honestly say that my sponge does not smell musty at all.   There is a definite scent to the sponge that makes it smell like the dishwashing liquid itself so it is not completely scent free but at least it doesn’t smell BAD.  And my dishes are definitely clean…even the pans that I absolutely hate scrubbing.  Overall, not a bad product at all!  If you are as sensitive to smells in your kitchen as I am you might want to give this dish liquid a try!
